Visit London - find somewhere to stay

London Olympics

Now that the Olympic Games in London 2012 are over

The 2012 Olympic Games in London were successful in terms of the sport and entertainment. Everyone had their own opinion of the opening and closing ceremonies and how the games were run. Financially they were seen as a great success. The psychology behind the ticket strategy created a high demand for tickets with partly explained the success of the Paralympics. In many people's eyes, the Paralympics were the pinnacle of the games and hopefully their success will inspire others.

The Olympic baton has now passed to Brazil and succeeding countries. The games were undoubtedly a showcase of what London and Britain stand for. Hopefully, the impression created a desire for visitors to come and see London and Britain for themselves.
